Account Ownership Policy

This policy explains how account ownership works at SendStatus, including who owns the account, how ownership can be transferred, and what happens when team members leave.
Account Ownership
The Account Owner is the individual who originally created the SendStatus account and agreed to the Terms of Service. The Account Owner has full control including:
- Managing subscription and billing
- Adding and removing team members
- Assigning admin privileges
- Accessing all company data
- Transferring ownership
- Cancelling the account
Company Administrators
The Account Owner may designate additional Company Administrators with the same capabilities.
Transferring Ownership
- Log in as a Company Administrator
- Navigate to Settings → Team
- Select the team member to become new admin
- Grant them Company Administrator privileges
When Team Members Leave
- Remove departing members through Team settings
- Ensure another Administrator exists before removing an admin
- Projects and reports remain with the company account
Data Ownership
All data belongs to the company, not individual team members. This includes projects, reports, photos, and voice recordings.
Ownership Disputes
SendStatus does not mediate ownership disputes. We recognize the original account creator as the default owner and will comply with valid court orders.
